GREEN REVOLT
Green Revolt is a large-scale musical theatre production set in a bustling modern residential township where hundreds of families live, work, study and dream together. Life moves at a relentless pace. Lights remain switched on in empty rooms, water flows unattended from taps, waste piles up unnoticed, and convenience gradually replaces responsibility. The residents rarely stop to consider where their resources come from or what happens when they run out.
Into this world arrives Dadaji, a wise and observant elder who comes to spend time with his grandchildren. As he explores the township, he becomes increasingly concerned by the careless habits of its residents. Through humour, stories and gentle persuasion, he tries to help the community understand the importance of living in harmony with nature. But in a city driven by speed, comfort and consumption, few are willing to listen.
What the residents do not realise is that they are not alone.
Hidden behind every switch, tap, dustbin, tree and breeze are the silent forces that sustain everyday life. Tired of being ignored, misused and taken for granted, the elements of nature decide they have had enough. Water, air, energy, earth and waste come together in an extraordinary uprising — a Green Revolt.
As the township begins to experience the consequences of its actions, children become the first to hear the voices of the natural world. What follows is a magical, humorous and visually spectacular journey in which an entire community must learn to rethink its relationship with the planet.
Blending drama, music, dance and large-scale ensemble storytelling, Green Revolt transforms the stage into a living city where humans and nature collide, confront one another and ultimately discover a way forward together.
At its heart, Green Revolt is a story about responsibility, coexistence and hope — a reminder that meaningful change begins not with grand gestures, but with the everyday choices we make.
